EGU2020: Sharing Geoscience Online was converted from the EGU General Assembly 2020 and held on 4-8 May 2020 via online. The event is the largest and most prominent geosciences event in Europe and attracts over 26,000 audience members from all geoscience backgrounds worldwide. ClusterTech was honoured to cooperate with Dr. Lam Yun Fat, an Associate Professor from the University of Hong Kong, to present our customized variable-resolution CPAS.
(Pre-recorded presentation)
Mr. Chi-Chiu Cheung, ClusterTech's Senior Director of Technology, introduced the ClusterTech Platform for Atmospheric Simulation (CPAS) with a presentation entitled "Development of Customized Variable-Resolution CPAS for Meteorological Simulation".
During the speech, Mr. Cheung shared case studies e.g. passage of cold front comparing between simulations using CPAS Hierarchical Time-Stepping (HTS) and Model for Prediction Across Scales - Atmosphere (MPAS-A) with customized mesh and standard mesh. He also demonstrated how to obtain the result visualization and analysis through CPAS. His speech attracted a number of audience, including worldwide scientists and researchers.
For reviewing the speech materials, please feel free to visit the conference page, or download abstract in pdf, poster, slide, pre-recorded presentation & CPAS Whitepaper 2.
