Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, SmartHK took place on August 28, 2024, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. This year’s edition gathered over 40 leaders from the business and academic sectors to explore business opportunities across various domains, including financial services, innovation & technology (I&T), green development, culture, creativity, and more. More than 60 enterprises and start-ups from Hong Kong participated, showcasing the latest I&T products and services, drawing in over 2,000 participants.

Among the distinguished guests, Mr Fang Wei, Vice Governor of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and Dr Peter K. N. Lam, Chairman of the HKTDC, were invited to the opening ceremony where they delivered keynote speeches.

We showcased the innovative variable-resolution global weather model - CPAS (ClusterTech Platform for Atmospheric Simulation) and the scalable atmospheric environment quality simulation platform - Online Platform for Emission Reduction (OPER), attracting a significant number of visitors. On-site, our experts introduced applications such as scenario simulation, green building practices, and renewable energy forecasting to the attendees. Notably, Jiangsu TV conducted an interview with ClusterTech, highlighting the cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
