SmartHK, a flagship event of Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation Week, drew about 2,000 business elites to Guangzhou on 24 May 2023, boosting cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland centres of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Mr John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mr Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong Province, and Dr Peter K N Lam, Chairman of the HKTDC, presided over the opening ceremony of Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation Week and SmartHK, which is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce. Mr John Lee praised the work of companies like ClusterTech, which are using cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems and improve the lives of people around the world.
ClusterTech, a leading provider of HPC, AI & analytics, and big data solutions, exhibited at SmartHK and showcased its new and unique variable-resolution global weather model - ClusterTech Atmospheric Simulation Platform (CPAS) and scalable atmospheric environment quality simulation platform – Online Platform for Emission Reduction (OPER).
CPAS is a unique variable-resolution global weather model that provides highly accurate weather forecasts and predictions, while OPER is a scalable atmospheric environment quality simulation platform that helps businesses/governments to reduce their emissions and minimise their environmental impact. By showcasing CPAS and OPER at SmartHK, ClusterTech attracted many potential clients and partners who are interested in leveraging these technologies to drive their businesses forward. The event was a success, as ClusterTech was able to connect with attendees from a diverse range of industries.
