The 12th Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC), jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held on 22-23 November 2022 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and online. Themed “The Future of the Sustainable Supply Chain: Connectivity, Collaboration, Innovation”, the hybrid-format conference brought together over 90 industry experts and leaders from the maritime, air freight, logistics, and supply chain management sectors and shippers from diverse manufacturing industries, to share insights at over 30 sessions. This year, ALMAC attracted more than 14,000 industry players from over 50 countries and regions to explore business connections and partnership opportunities face-to-face and virtually. ClusterTech exhibited and showcased the Advanced Maritime Route Weather Prediction Solution at ALMAC.

ClusterTech’s Advanced Maritime Route Weather Prediction Solution utilises the unique and latest weather prediction model CPAS. CPAS is a cloud-based service platform that implements customised mesh generation and hierarchical time-stepping on Model for Prediction Across Scales - Atmosphere (MPAS-A (v6.3)) to better serve the computational needs of numerical atmospheric model users. The model can provide higher resolution and more accurate data for specific maritime routes of risk, helping maritime companies save costs and avoid casualty loss.

At the booth, the ClusterTech team provided in-depth demonstrations and shared their hands-on project experience with visitors impressed by the weather prediction model CPAS and its applications in maritime and air freight. In the Business Matching session, our experts explored collaboration opportunities with local and international industry leaders.

The meteorological team of ClusterTech has been providing air quality forecast and meteorological model execution services to clients from 2003. For more than 15 years, we have served the Hong Kong Observatory, the Environmental Protection Department, and organisations in mainland China. ClusterTech will continuously explore and develop more products and solutions for the maritime, air freight, logistics, and supply chain management sectors.
